It copies the graphical style of the DS games, but plays in a linear level-based format, similar to the classic games. However, the game ain't half bad and may be worth a look to fans. Soul of Darkness is a 2010 DSiWare game by Gameloft, and it looks exactly like a cheap imitation of Castlevania. However I wanted to highlight two non-Castlevania games that fans might be interested in getting. This game has a physical cartridge and also has a HD version available on PS3 and Xbox - so this one isn't fully disappearing for now. There is also Mirror of Fate available for download. These games are all available on Switch through the collections, so these are only worth picking up on 3DS if that's your preference. Of course, the 3DS has a few actual Castlevania games available on it: Castlevania 1, 2 3 and Adventure, and if you have New 3DS, you can get Super IV and Dracula X as well. but for the moment, it may be worthwhile to pick up some games before then. So, it's big news in gaming right now that the 3DS eShop is closing down unfortunately.
